Australia Housing Market White Paper
2026.
Published by RESI, the Australian Residential Construction Institute. Chapter 1 diagnoses demand, supply and affordability through macroeconomic modelling; Chapter 2 examines 20,000+ residential subdivision planning consent applications lodged through PlanSA, South Australia's statewide digital planning portal to identify what actually lengthens a consent timeline.
Data to 2025. Cyberate researchers are named in the white paper's core research team, and its Chapter 2 is synthesised from the AUBEA 2025 Best Paper study they authored. The white paper is published by RESI, not by Cyberate.

Housing outcomes increasingly depend on whether projects move efficiently from approval to finance, procurement, construction and completion. Our research focuses on that conversion: where projects slow down, why timelines diverge and what most consistently affects execution.
Our AUBEA 2025 Best Paper examined one such constraint: SA planning approval delays trace to procedure, not the merits of the application. Those findings are published as Chapter 2 of the Australia Housing Market White Paper (2026).
